Where conventional panoramic systems capture a single layer along a preset average jaw shape, the ProVecta S-Pan takes a fundamentally different approach. From a single exposure, it acquires 20 separate image layers and slices them into 20,000 fragments, selecting the sharpest from each area and compiling them into one exceptionally clear panoramic image. The result is a full-arch view that reflects the patient's actual anatomy — including individual tooth inclinations and jaw deviations — rather than fitting them into a generic template.
A full adult panoramic image is acquired in as little as 7 seconds, with especially low radiation dose. The four dedicated child modes reduce dose by 45 to 56% and shorten scan time without any loss of diagnostic information — an important consideration for younger patients. The 7-inch touch display makes selecting programmes and patient settings fast and intuitive, and three laser guides ensure accurate, consistent positioning every time. A long vertical path accommodates tall patients and wheelchair users.
